(No connection known with previous post!) Well done for a plain-speaking, common-sense website. I'm just returning to cycling- for health reasons- years after last riding regularly. Towpaths and cycle trails are my target; praying for better weather than the last two UK summers! I realise I will have to ease myself into it gently. Could you create a section aimed at 'older' wheelers? AndyH.

Would be better if lights were compulsory on bikes to start with, from the manufacturers; people can later fit a style they like, but my experience says that many cyclists still don't bother. I cant add html here, but there's a petition on the Downing Street website under "nightbikes" that is calling for compulsory light-fittings on all bicycles. As a driver, I am horrified at the number of cyclists who risk death at night (and my licence and DNA) with no lights.

Thanks for the advice on buying kids bikes! In fact, as an unfit, middle-aged bloke, I'm tempted to get the dust off my old bike again. Great site.

Hello, could somebody tell me the name of the person who writes the information on these pages-the main editor.
Thanks and keep up the good work

The site is excellent - informative and written in plain English. Under the "Increasing Comfort" section I'd been interested in seeing your thoughts re use of plain pedals vs toeclips vs clip-ins...

Thanks for a very informative site - an active cyclist, commuting 30 miles a day by bike - I've now got a site to send people to. I meet a fair number who want to know more about bicycles and cycling as a commute option.
